My take on the original ’50s P-Bass single coil wound with ’50s spec 42 AWG Plain enamel wire and alnico 3 magnets. A clean bright punchy pickup that cuts through the mix, with the tone rolled off a tad it will give you that classic P-bass growl. It has a classic 1950’s single coil sound that would be perfect for punk, slap, rock or anywhere that needs a deep cutting bass tone. A great little pickup for ’50s P-bass/Tele bass and also performs well in short scale basses such as the modern Squier Bronco. It has a full sized ’50s P-bass base and is designed for body mounting so a custom guard would be required to fit in a pickguard.
