I wind these neck pickups to vintage ’50s specs using 43 AWG Formvar wire and alnico 3 magnets. The result is a sweet warm vintage tone and a perfect match for my ’50s Formvar Bridge units.

    I am so pleased with this pickup, which has breathed life back into my 90’s Mexican Tele. It has added a more unique flavour to the neck and middle positions – which is exactly what I wanted for recording. It nails the vintage vibe, of course. I wish I’d done this upgrade years ago.
