Description
A rewound boutique built Strat pickup from maker unknown. I acquired this in a parts lot from Japan it is built on a hand shaped lacquered bobbin like the old ’50s and I have rewound it with heavy build Formvar to ’50s Fender specs. It reads 5.9k cold on the meter and is wound clockwise around the bobbin with south up magnets so will phase with modern Fender pickups. It has larger .195 inch staggered poles that are weaker than Alnico 5 so I assume they are alnico 2 magnets that have a Custom shop style modern bevel. It has 30cm long cloth wire leads and has been waxed potted. The cover is yellowed but is not that dark my Iphone does not like yellow so its lighter in real life. It comes with mushroom head screws and old rubber mounts.
