Description
A unique original 1974 Strat neck pickup with flat poles, 1974 is the last year of the staggered poled ’70s pickups. This pickup is unique in that the date is off with the 54th week of 1974 there are only 52 weeks in a year! I found a few more 1974s on the web with the same date error so I guess this a ’74 thing. It reads 5.77k cold on the meter and has the original plain enamel windings. The poles have been pushed down so they sit flush with the top of the cover not a shade above as they should. This pickup might have had a solid top cover on at one stage but the poles are too long for Mustang, I measured them against a few 1972 from my stock. It has typical patina on the poles, the cover is not original it might be vintage Tokai and it has stains, see pics. It comes with the original rusty screws and period correct metal springs.
