Description
A rare set 1978 Maxon PU-1 humbucker with a relic gold solid covers and epoxy potting. These are a rare pickup and they originally came in Greco Mirage M900 guitars in chrome but the gold is for a unique model but I can’t place it. They read 8.47k and 8.3k on the meter and have 4 conductor leads for splitting. They are in relic condition with corrosion, pitting and string wear on the covers but I have only wiped them down with a damp rag so they might come up cleaner. The PU-1 model number has been scratched off the bottom on both but still readable on one and they both have the same date code 280509 for 1978. The leads look like they are the original length for a Mirage and they are twisted up so will stretch longer. The shorter lead one has the lower output but I assume this is due to the proximity of the switch and the long lead one is actually the bridge pickup. They come with the original rusty gold screws and chrome springs.
