1980 – 1981 Greco Maxon U1000 humbucker set ceramic magnets 8.11k + 7.96k – 50mm spacing

Description

A pair of 1980 or 1981 Maxon Greco U1000s with the standard sized ceramic ferrite magnets.  These are from last era of Maxons before Fujigen started building Greco pickups.  The covers have been removed and there are no date codes on the bases but they are consistent with other 1981 dated Maxons I have sold.   They have been wax potted which I read was a 1980s Maxon thing and they have double wood spacers under the bobbins,  see pics.   The hotter pickup has the longer lead which I have encountered before so they might have been in an Explorer.  They are in light relic condition with wear and patina, they come with new chrome screws and springs.

Specs,

• 7.96k pickup – Lead = 19cm to ground + 19.5cm to hot
• 8.11k pickup – Lead = 31cm to ground + 32cm to hot
• Ceramic ferrite magnet
• 50 mm pole spacing
• long leg base
• No covers
• New chrome screws and springs

Sold as a pair.
