Description

A Bill Lawrence HB-R neck pickup that were used in 1980s Gibsons as well as high end Orvilles.  This pickup has a wider 52mm slug side coil a HB-L that appears to have been rewound to match the HB-R specs.  I am not sure if both coils have been rewound or not since I got it as is.  The 49.2mm screw side coil reads 3.685k cold and the 52mm slug side 3.692k so that’s pretty much a match.  It’s in relic condition with authentic heavy player wear on the chrome cover.  As far as tone goes it is warm sounding and since its not wax potted and there is some controlled microphonics.  I have resoldered all the lead joints and resoldered on the cover which was off when I got it.  Non original new chrome screws with some vintage non original springs.
