Description
An original 1970s Gibson USA Tarback neck pickup marketed as the “Super humbucker” they were built by legendary pickup maker Bill Lawrence who did a lot of work for Gibson in the ’70s-80s. It reads 5.25k cold on the meter, the bridge pickup from this set usually reads around 7.5k. These lower output necks are meant to make great bridge pickups for Strats and this one I removed personally from a custom built HSS guard. It has standard PAF spec 49.2mm pole spacing and the original lead has been shortened to 21cm. The cover has plenty of authentic wear and has small dent near the middle and the ground solder joint is intact, see pics. It comes with some non original new chrome screws and old springs.
