Description
A Fender Japan Wide Range neck pickup from a 2002 Tele Custom, came to me with a dead Tele bridge pickup. The Fujigen version of this is more correct than the modern Fender version which is actually just a standard F spaced humbucker and the space in the cover is filled by foam. They have at least got the larger Wide Range bobbins but it has an alnico bar magnet with steel poles not the CuNiFe poles the original ’70s USA ones have. Included is a pic with the cover off next to a standard F space bobbin for comparison. It reads 12.49k on the meter and has a 29.5cm long lead. It has significant wear on the chrome cover and patina on the poles, see pics. It comes with new chrome screws and springs. I don’t think these have changed since the first ones used in the 1980s so it would be good for all eras including SQ Squiers.
