Description
Here is a nice example of the 2 knob Smith Strat. Fender decided to cut costs with the 83 – 84 USA Strats dropping the jack plate and extra tone and also using Japanese pots. The pickups remained USA and they used the Freeflyte tremolo which was also used on the Elite Strats. Detailed pics of the inside of this guitar are on the vintage reference page.
