NOT FOR SALE – Repair example
This 1950s Gibson Dog ear P-90 came in for a repair and sadly needed a rewind. The connection to the start of the coil is deep inside these old pickups and is the most common reason a pickup of this design will fail. I rewound it with period correct 42 AWG Plain enamel wire and the owner requested it to me towards the lower end of vintage specs so I wound it to 7.5k. I was also able to repair the crack in the original cover and it was quite a smooth job overall.
