1960s Janson Bridge pickup – Rewind

Description

NOT FOR SALE – Repair example

An extremely challenging vintage Janson bridge pickup that came in for a rewind.  It came off a strange looking offset 3 pickup solid body.  This pickup was a challenge and had a wire in the middle that the start of the coil was soldered to.  I had the middle pickup at 11.5k to go off so this one would be pretty hot.  It took a bit of careful soldering to remove the bands holding it together and a bit more to put them back on.  I wound my coil to 11.5k with 44 AWG poly wire which is around De Armond Gold foil type specs.  It was a bit of a challenge and a great job and I love working on these strange and unique vintage pickups.
